AUDITORY VERBAL THERAPY

Auditory verbal therapy is organized by Mata Kalavati Viklang (Divyang) Shikshan Sansthan.. Through auditory verbal therapy, hearing impaired children are helped to develop their speaking and listening skills.

The main purpose of Auditory Verbal Therapy is to develop (improve) the ability of children to listen and speak. Auditory Verbal Therapy is used for children who have low hearing power or those children who cannot hear at all. This therapy helps in teaching language to children who use hearing aids or cochlear implants.

Objectives-

  • To develop the listening abilities of children.
  • To overcome speech related problems and teach language.
  • To prepare disabled children for studying in normal schools.

Auditory Verbal Therapy work-

  • Before doing Auditory Verbal Therapy, children are first given hearing aids.
    In Auditory Verbal Therapy, children are taught to listen and respond.
  • In Auditory Verbal Therapy, the parents of the children are kept active so that they can also watch the therapy and get their children to practice at home.
  • In Auditory Verbal Therapy, children are taught everyday activities through games, conversations and activities.
